Hi,
First, let me thank you for your assistance and time with my problem. But I
am not sure what UR configuration of openser you are speaking of.
in the config/database.yml I have indicated this info:
development:
adapter: mysql
database: openser
username: openser
password: openserrw
host: localhost
and did the same for production in database.yml. There was not much to do.
what other config could it be. How did you do your UR configuration of
openser?
Thanks,
jwshel

We just rolled out service, and a lot of users are complaining about the
time displayed on their phones being incorrect. Exactly 2 hours behind.
The switch which we receive all of our inbound calls from is 2 hours behind
us. Is it possible to adjust the time in the Caller ID so that their phones
will display properly?

Was the same error at the time I compiled it, ... I had to do first:
"unset CPU"
This made and installed the module mysql.so

Are you sure?
shouldn't it be openserctl?
I tried ln -s /usr/local/sbin/openserctl /etc/rc.d/openser
(SuSE 10.1 has all init files in /etc/rc.d)
# /etc/rc.d/openser start
Starting OpenSER :
ERROR: PID file /var/run/openser.pid does not exist -- OpenSER start failed
Where have I lost the pid file?
BTW, Largo, you have a nice email address !!!

Ronald
Dear all,
I find a way to add a new column in accounting page. So in this way, I
think that I can create a new table with my price/prefix and then make a
calcul base with the duration of call.
But maybe someone knows if this already exist.
If not, what's the best way to do something like that ?
Help will appreciated. Thanks.
Best regards
Hi there,
We've been running openser for a long time on Debian Sarge boxes without
problems, but recently we installed it (version 1.0.1) on a FreeBSD
6.1-RELEASE box, and started having problems when testing it even with
very low load conditions.
The problem is easy to reproduce: just reducing the children parameter
to 1, and openser will not handle a second call (obviously that doesn't
happen in Debian, using the same configuration for openser).
Is this a known issue? I haven't found any message related to it.
Regards,
Hernan.
taipei:/usr/local/etc/openser # openser
ERROR: bad config file (1 errors)
/var/log/messages shows:
Sep 27 19:23:16 taipei openser: ERROR: load_module: could not open
module </usr/local/lib64/openser/modules/mysql.so>:
/usr/local/lib64/openser/modules/mysql.so: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory
Sep 27 19:23:16 taipei openser: parse error (39,13-14): failed to load
module
mysql.so exists at /usr/lib64/php5/extensions/mysql.so
However, a symlink does not work for that either.
I use SuSE 10.1 on a Semperon (Athlon) CPU.
I have installed mysql-devel.
Besides this, I am confused about the openser.cfg file, which does not
match the SER - Getting Started.
Is there a better document available?
What do I need to install to get the system running with phones behind NAT ?
The document suggests many different things (Nathelper, STUN, rtpproxy
and mediaproxy). Which one do I need? Is it either rtpproxy or
mediaproxy? Is it in addition to STUN or Nathelper????
I also do not really know what I need. My server is on a public IP, with
a second Ethernet card for the internal LAN. Where the user has his
phone I do not know yet. Maybe on a symetric NAT or asymetric NAT, maybe
on a public IP. For all it should work.
bye
Ronald
(obviously confused)
Hello guys...
It would like that to openser it worked with service
of pre-paid end post-paid...
I need a "how to" install this service.
I saw many diagrams working with B2BUA and I still
with many doubts about it.
thanks,
Moacir.

Hi!
We were poking the idea around of having an optional route
that would be invoked upon a retransmission.
The fr timers all fire way too late if you'd have to implement
some sort of fallback if your peering partner or PSTN gateway died.
I magine a routing mechanism much like t_on_failure() / failure_route()
to allow something like this:
- set transmission timer via AVP / t_set_fr() like
- t_on_retransmission(1);
- t_relay_to_udp()
and then you'd have something like
retransmission_route[1] {
# select new gateway
t_relay_to_udp()
}
The retransmission route should be invoked if no provisional (i.e.
100 Trying) nor final response was received within the given interval.
I'm not sure about how to handle TCP connections, though. A simple
TCP ACK might be enough to assume the other side is up and happy
to answer our request.
This would allow for redirecting traffic without having to wait for
a final response (408 timeout).
The timer value would be fr_timer - fr_inv_timer starting at the same
time as fr_timer itself.
Last but not least I'm not sure about the impact of having quite
a lot of timers firing after a couple of msecs.
If anybody thinks this would make sense I'd give it a try ;)
Cheers,
Hendrik

Hi,
I do not understand what you are describing, can you be more specific? I
did try to login at:
http://localhost:3000/login/login, but password and username not accepted.
