Hi, 192.168.2.17 is a NAT client behing 85.105.102.167 Could it be that the SER is sending the messages to the internal IP address of my Eyebeam client ? On eyebeam 1.5 I use the "use rport" option of the client if that matters. Any idea why I get so many "no socket found" errors ? (might it be because ser is trying to connect to the internal IP address ?) If yes, it means, that there is a bug in PA module. Be sure to catch messages on machine with presence server. Hi, I am trying to use IM with ser. Followed the installation procedures as suggested in the presence hand book and running the sample config with db that comes in it but I have the following error in it: ------------------------------------------------ rls_mod_init(): 'xcap_root' not set (global XCAP root)! 0(21638) init_mod(): Error while initializing module rls ERROR: error while initializing modules ------------------------------------------------ I have compiled and installed the sip_router from its cvs source but I had ignore one error message sercmd not compiled; not sure if it has anything to do with it. thanks a lot, suraj

Hi all, I had this problem in the morning so I had to restar ser again to make it work.. [Serusers] Content-type

Hi ! I'm new to SER and I would like to know if it is possible to get the content-type of a message and to use it in ser.cfg like we can do with status (i.e. if (!(status =~ "183")) for instance). I would like SER to behave according to the content-type of some SIP messages and therefore I need a way to get this information about the messages. Thank you for your help Regards Steve

Btw, I've seen following two lines in the beginning of the log: May 2 13:29:15 sesapp /root/ser/sbin/ser[19985]: using 'none' rls-subscription authorization! May 2 13:29:15 sesapp /root/ser/sbin/ser[19985]: using 'none' subscription authorization for watcher info! Could they be related ? How can I change these to xcap ? I take a look into the log and it seems, that NOTIFY requests try to be sent to 192.168.2.17. But in the ngrep dump I see only some 85.105.102.167 addresses in Contacts in SUBSCRIBE requests. Or you can set the error reporting to the stderr handle and then run ser with stderr redirected to file. Hi, Which level of debug should I use ? debug= ? (I tried debug=7 but nothing changed) Btw, my clients are behind NAT. But I already forward them to an RTP+SIP proxy for voice communication. And there is no rpoblem with voice. Should I use any nathelper configuration for presence messages ? Have you restarted ser after changing debug level (debug=xxx in cfg)? There should be lots of messages. Hi, I changed it to "debug=4" and restarted ser but nothing changed. Is there anything missing in my configuration ? Do I need a seperate module for debug messages ? And if you restart ser with this debug level, there should be really lots of messages in the log. If you have another proxy doing NAT it is probably not needed to do it on presence server (and if oter messages work like MESSAGE).
