Hello,
does anybody got a working configuration to make an "attended call
transfer" with a call through an Asterisk gateway?
Example:
PSTN --> Asterisk --> SER --+-- A
|
+-- B
The call will come from the PSTN Network and will go through "A". A sets
the call on "Hold" and calls "B". After A is connected with B, A hangup
an B got the call from PSTN.
This in _not_ working at the moment.
Attended call transfer only with OpenSER and only SIP-Phones is no
Problem. But if the is an Asterisk as PSTN-GW in the game it will not work.
Regards
Bastian

hi,
i have some basic conceptual questions about integrating Operser with
Asterisk. Most of the examples I have read about so far talks about using
asterisk for voice mail but can the integration also cash in on the other
asterisk features?
The examples always make reference to using asterisk to call out on the
PSTN. I would assume that calling in on the PSTN and calling in/out on IAX
channel would be equally viable but would it also make sense to use it to
call in/out via SIP?
my questions stem from my desire to utilize a lot of asterisk features
because I just don't know openser well enough to start writing bespoke
scripts. Stated another way (I did own up to the fact that I am no Openser
guru) I would like to utilize all the work I have already done with
asterisk and frontend it with the openser. Thereby having asterisk doing
the typical softswitch work (call waiting, call forward, privacy manager,
follow me, queues, conferencing, voice mail, etc) and openser doing the SIP
proxy and NAT traversal capabalities for the UAs.
thanks
Is OpenSer still similar enough to "borrow" the SER web interface which
was published Sept 2005? Or, if anyone has used that tool is worth
evaluating?
TIA.
hello,
some more hints:
if I try to register a softphone (express talk) when openser is off, rightly the answer is:
------------------------------------------------------------
Server 82.104.192.27 did not respond to register (user 001)
Check server details for that line
------------------------------------------------------------
when
openser is on, when I try to register the softphone I get:
------------------------------------------------------------
Register attempt for proxy 82.104.192.27 failed
500 I'm terribly sorry, server error occurred (1/SL)
------------------------------------------------------------
Am I missing something into configuration?
Anyone can please give me some hints?
Many thanks in advance
Alex

I have this configuration:
| - > LAN
adsl -> router |
| -> linux pc with openser
the router translate the private IP 192.168.xxx with the public IP 82.xxx
any softphone in the LAN register with openser but only if I enter as server the IP 192.168.xxx. if I enter the public IP, express talk (softphone) refuse the registration with error 500.
from outside (I tried with a different internet provider) i cannot register anyway.
in the openser.cfg I didn-t configure anything related proxies or nat, should I do something?
attached is my openser.cfg
thanks

Hi,
Do you think that I need unixsock module ?
Also, do I need any configuration for fifo module ?
I'm now using the CVS version and with full configuration in the presence handbook.
Everything seems to work except presence messages.
After increasing the loglevel to 7 there is no more information in the log.
Only these lines:
May 2 10:56:49 sesapp /root/ser/sbin/ser[18655]: t_uac: no socket found
May 2 10:56:49 sesapp /root/ser/sbin/ser[18655]: ERROR: notify.c:398: Can't send watcherinfo notification (-7)
May 2 10:56:49 sesapp /root/ser/sbin/ser[18655]: send_winfo_notify returned -7
May 2 10:56:49 sesapp /root/ser/sbin/ser[18649]: t_uac: no socket found
May 2 10:56:49 sesapp /root/ser/sbin/ser[18655]: t_uac: no socket found
If it would help , I can send you my full configuration.
I need help desperately.
Regards,
ilker

Hi,
as I can see from the dump - MESSAGEs go through without problems, right?
Try to increase debug level in config file, might be, you will see more.
I don't see any problems... :-(

Hi,
Recently, I found that there is the following error in the log.
error: use_media_proxy(): empty response from mediaproxy
The error will cause a looping problem last for 5 minutes (looping
time out). The result is user failed to make call and the network
will be congested if serveral users having the same looping problem at
the same time.
What will cause that error? Is it a bug for mediaproxy?
system configuration: openser 1.0.1 + mediaproxy 1.4.2
