I have installed the opensip server from
http://ftp.upjs.sk/pub/users/sal/Fedora/5/
openser-1.1.0-rhel3.0.i386.rpm
<http://ftp.upjs.sk/pub/users/sal/Fedora/5/openser-1.1.0-rhel3.0.i386.rp

I have /etc/openser, and when I cd /etc, and run ./openser.init start, I
got no such file or directory error. Can I also just run it by
/usr/sbin/openser start.
Besides, Do I need to change the defualt openser.cfg file to let the
openser act as both proxy and registart?
Thanks.

You can check with below command whether openser running or not.
ps -elf | grep openser
Try to start openser with ' cd openser home/ etc/' and
./openser.init start / stop / restart

Hello,
look into the system log to get a hint why the server don't
start. Increase
the debug level in the configuration to get more informations.
You'll get logmessages if the server is up and responding to
queries.
Furthermore look at the tools 'sipp' or 'sipsak' on how to test
a sip server.
You'll find more informations about this in the list archives,
as this was
already discussed many times.
Cheers,
Henning
