hi,
does anyone have experience in using openser in processing
call-forwarding/redirection signaled in the History-Info section (as per
RFC 4244)?
the application context is openser as a means to interpolate signaling
between an IP PBX and a SIP-speaking VM/UM platform (I^3 Communite --
v2.3.1). the problem i am trying to solve (at least in the near-term)
is that the Avaya is using History-Info to signal call-forwarding events
(ex: CFNA, CFB) while Communite is expecting call-forwarding to be
signaled via Diversion. until the platforms support have a
call-forwarding signaling method in common, i would like to be able to
insert openser into the signaling path -- more or less as a translator
between the two platforms.

We for the most part have openser working with MAXTNT but I'd really like to
see what other people are actually doing with it. Is a user wiki something
of interest?

Is it possible to run SER SIP server behind a NAT? If so, what type of
configuration changes am i looking at? My current scenario is as
follows.
Internet <-----> Pix (12.x.x.x translates to 10.x.x.x) <----> SIP Server
Requests to and from the internet have a static NAT translation rule
in the PIX. Traffic flows from the outside global IP to an inside
NAT'ed IP (non-routable) and vice versa. The SIP server's interface is
configured with a non-routable IP addresss (10.x.x.x) for example. My
problem is related to the message header and the ACK has a record
route with the 10.x.x.x in it. Please help.
Hello,
When we enter to Serweb it displays the users view,
then we click in the accounting option and it displays
the message "No calls", although users have accounting
information indeed, the acc table contains accounting
data of users. Ser is configured with the Accounting
provided by Ser itself (not by Radius).
We had done some debuging and found that the reason
why it is not displaying any information is because
the sql query (in method.get_acc_entires.php) does not
match with the information in the DB, especificaly in
the where section of sql query the domain field
doesn't match. The application is expecting to find in
domain field the IP where SER is running and the DB
has in domain field the IP of caller's PC. Why SER is
storing the IP of the caller in the domain field? is
this correct? if so, why the query is expecting the
SER IP in that field instead? How can we fix this?
Thank you in advance
Best regards,
Alex

Yes, but t_replicate() only allows you to replicate to ONE other OpenSER system. Two OpenSER systems is not a redundant configuration - 3 is redundant.

I really believe that people adding to the documentation by exploring themselves is a VERY BAD idea.
When you do this, you make assumptions based on the information you currently have available to you. When that information is incomplete, you make incorrect assumptions. You find that later on, things break in certain conditions because your assumptions where bad in the first place. You also contribute to more bad information when you write documentation based on what you THINK you know, and make it available to others.
This is why the people who know the product the best, the developers, should be the ones writing the documentation.
Doug.

Oggetto: [Users] problem with exec_dset
hi all,
i am trying to send $tU in exec_dset function. my function look like
this
exec_dset("fwdnoanswer1.sh '$tU'");
in this function my script fwdnoanswer1.sh will take $tU as an input and
check my database to get the forward number and it has to dail out to
fwd number.
when i runned script manually it was giving proper result. but when i
used this script in exec_dset i am not getting fwd number.
can any one please help me how to use this exec_dset() function.
according to me the script is not taking that value $tU.
with regards
openseruser

That was absolutely right, thanks!
I didn't realize that the interface lo (localhost) was down, so SER hasn't
able to access the web server because those services are on the same
machine.
The Presence Agent is now working, the clients have access to the presence
status of each other. Changes on the presence status of one client reflects
on the GUI of the other clientes.
But I'm getting some warnings on SER log:
WARN: rls_handler.c:326: can't refresh unknown subscription
Each client initialy SUBSCRIBE to event presence, presence.winfo and
"sip-profile;profile-typeapplication;app-id=resource-lists", the last one
not supported by SER and not renewed anymore.
On ser.cfg I have:
modparam("pa", "accept_internal_subscriptions", 0)
Despite the Presence Agent being apparently working, when one client A
changes his presence state to other state than Available (and sends a
PUBLISH Event:presence to SER containing application/pidf+xml with the new
state), the other clients that have subscribed to presence event of client A
receive a NOTIFY with the client's A new presence state BUT the subsequent
NOTIFYs don't include that state anymore and thus the other clients show
client A as Available when he's not.
May it be because the client's A PUBLISH only include application/pidf+xml
when client A changes presence state?
Subsequent PUBLISH send to SER don't include a message body.
