http://www.e164.org is another root registry aimed at CC '1' while the
ENUM LLC launches its 1.e164.arpa trials.
As for a list of companies that are participating in any registry, it's
something I've yet to see anywhere.
i tried last week to call a u.s. 800 number using www.e164.org and
freenum.org enum, which both point to tf.voipmich.com. in summary: it
was impossible to get connected. looks like their gws are full or
broken.
a service like that has to work reliably or it is good for nothing.

Hi,
tanks for your attention, I've read the SIP
introduction and it was very useful.
But I have two problems:
I've installed SER from the sources available in OnSIP
to follow the getting started document, but I keep
receiving error messages wen I try to run:
[root@parati sbin]# ./ser

Do you know how to solve this?
And were is the ser.cfg?
Thank You Again.

Hi,
tank you for the information, now the error messages
are gone.
There's another thing now, wen I run SER with the
command /usr/local/sbin/ser the listening information
is listed, but wen I look in the processes table SER
doesn't shows. I tried help, but found no answer.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
Tank you again for the info.

I thought we had this working at one time or another. I can't seem to
get it working now.
I am trying to change the From in the invite, on the 180/183 messages
back from the other side, I need to change the From tag back to its
original value which is known.
Replace doesn't seem to work, is there another tool?

Hi
I am having a little difficulty in setting up enum lookups.
When a call comes in for a number prefixed with 00, for enum i would
really have to replace this with a + prefix since enum requires that,
however if this is done then I have problems with the lcr table and my
prefixes, since they all are without + sign hence if no enum found I
need to strip the plus off again before I pass it on to my pstn gateway.
I was attempting to do something like this..would it be correct
if (uri=~"^sip:00[0-9]*@")
{
strip(2); prefix("+");
};
# So now we have the + sign in front
if (uri=~"^sip:\+[0-9]*@") {
log(1, "+ International number detected\n");
if (!enum_query("e164.arpa") || !enum_query("e164.info")) {
strip(1);
route (8); # normal pstn
};
else {
route(1); # e164 result
};
Problem is, whatif results were present in both trees, would that be a
problem. Also if the e164 message works, I guess then you dont really
need to do anything since its just goes out on SIP.

Hi
managed to get a few lookups happening, and this was the return I got
from the lookup
get_record: lookup(1.6.1.9.1.6.2.2.5.3.e164.arpa, 35) failed
4(27898) enum_query(): No NAPTR record found for
1.6.1.9.1.6.2.2.5.3.e164.arpa.
5(27899) udp_rcv_loop: probing packet received from 80.46.109.145 5118
4(27898) enum_query(): order 100, pref 10, flen 1, flags 'u', slen 7,
services 'E2U+SIP', rlen 46, regexp
'!^\+3522619161(.*)$!sip:\1@siprelay.e164.info!'
4(27898) reg_replace(): pattern: '^\+3522619161(.*)$', replacement:
'sip:\1@siprelay.e164.info', string: '+3522619161'
4(27898) enum_query(): resulted in replacement: 'sip:@siprelay.e164.info'
4(27898) TOI: rewrite_uri: Rewriting Request-URI with
'sip:@siprelay.e164.info'
Now is that because there is a error in the enum module in ser ,
although I have managed to get other lookups working, the reg_replace
seems to be okay anyone see if theres an error, I am querying the dns
manually also, to see if there is error in record
Iqbal

Ok, duh there is a strip_tail command. I'm confusing myself now, that
still doesn't help me accomplish this :)
What I really need is a way to subst(replace) with an avp alias I guess?
I don't see any way to do this though.

Subject: [Serusers] HELP!! Converting 7 digits to e164
Importance: High
All, we're still in a grind here we're trying to eliminate all external
scripts, the last one we have converts 7 digits to e164 (eg 3212222 to
+13143212222). The problem I'm having is I can't figure out a way to
convert this inside SER.
What needs to happen is Ser needs to take the area code from the user,eg
314 and convert the RURI to that persons areacode+phone number. If there
was some kind of strip_tail command I would be in business. All of our
users are based on e164, no names or anything. An example of what I
mean:
From: +13145281234 to/uri: 3212222
Script would take the "314" from the "from" and add it to the uri
3212222 ending up with 3143212222, from there I would simply prefix "+1"
ending with +13143212222. The problem is getting ONLY the 314 out of the
"from".
Any thoughts? SER is bombing on us, the only lead is that we are using
external cmds and we "should" get rid of them. Someone please help!!

Hello,
I want to replace the Caller-ID in quotes in the From Tag. Is there a
switch that I can use in front of the " so that the SER treats it as
another character and not the end of the first " ?
replace("From: "xxxxxxxxxx"", "From: "yyyyyyyyyy"");

Hi,
you can use a two-server(or more) mysql cluster (and a management
server) and add a loadbalancere (LVS or linux-ha) layer to have a
redundant system.
If you have more servers to play around with, you can install the mysql
API's and the ndbd's on different servers (actually quite fun to
build ;-))
I also presume you have two or more SER's to handle your traffic, then
you have to make sure only one SER writes location information to the
cluster at a time. Replication can be stored in memory
If you have a storage crash, you can rebuild the database from the other
storage nodes.

Hi Guys,
Is there a way to make 2 redundant mysql banks, I mean, making SER writing all the data to 2 different DB
Servers ? I want to make my data redudant, just in case one of the Mysql Crashs.
Thanks in Advance
Best Regards
