How can I chain two mediaproxies?
It's mentioned in the Readme, that this is possible, but it's
not mentioned how.
I have two SER servers in two networks, both running with mediaproxy.
Client A can reach SER A, SER A connects to SER B (with forward statement), which contacts Client B.
It's, because of the design of the networks, not possible
that client A can connect SER B or client B can connect SER A.
I configured SER and mediaproxy with default values (from the mediaproxy-example ser.cfg),
however, it seems, that the two mediaproxies don't talk to each other, they are waiting
for Client connection instead.
Regards,
Henry
Hello,
It it should be inside the source archive:
ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/ser/0.8.14/src/ser-0.8.14_src.tar.gz
Otherwise you can take it from CVS, link to rpm directory:
http://cvs.berlios.de/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/ser/sip_router/rpm/?only_with_tag…
This should be a direct link to spec file:
http://cvs.berlios.de/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/ser/sip_router/rpm/ser…

I am having a rather odd problem. I had the Ser
server working for a while, but all the sudden,
strange stuff started happening. I have it running on
Redhat AS3 Server, with 2 network cards, one with a
public, and another with a private address. I have
the sip phones configured to have the public address
as the as their sip server. The strange thing is,
though, when I sniff, I see the darn server get the
Register request on the public interface, but sending
the OK response on the private one! I tried turning
the private IP interface off alltogether, but then it
simply sends nothing back at all...it has been very
frustrating, as it was working fine before.
John,
Download the source.
In the modules directory there is 'mysql' and there is also 'postgres'.
You can edit the main Makefile, remove 'postgres' from the
exclude_modules declaration. Compile and install.
I have not worked with the 0.8.14 version at all. I know the postgres
works
with 0.8.12, I've been using in production. There is probably some
work to be done to
make postgres module work with 0.8.14, I don't know. I need to make
some time
to work on that, but I haven't yet.
Please keep this on the list!

Hello,
You will find attached my PostgreSQL database dump for Serweb; As I said
I'm not sure that all the fields are good enough, maybe you will have to
change some of them... Let me know if you make some modifications.
In order to run Serweb with PGSQL please do as follow:
1. load the SQL DDL file into your PGSQL
2. load at least one account with the same domain listed in
/serweb/html/set_domain.php
e.g. $config->domain = "your_domain.com";
2. modify:
/serweb/html/config_data_layer.php
$config->data_sql->type="pgsql";
$config->data_sql->host[$i]['host']="localhost"; //database host
$config->data_sql->host[$i]['port']=""; //database
port - leave empty for default
$config->data_sql->host[$i]['name']="database_name"; //database name
$config->data_sql->host[$i]['user']="your_login";
//database conection user
$config->data_sql->host[$i]['pass']="your_password";
I'm using the last SERWEB from the CVS. I think that's all you need to do.
If you succeed to connect please let me know.
Is there anybody using the last Serweb with Postgre ? Any chance to login ?
Thanks,
SB

You have this running under PostGreSQL? WOW! Cool... I'm just now
getting started setting up my SER
server, but have no clue on how to get it hooked into PostGres. Could
you point me to some documents you
found that tells me how to do it?
I'm using 0.8.10 by the way, should I install a newer version?
John

Hello SER Users,
I'm a new SER User and have installed it successfully on my 4.8 FreeBSD
machine running mysql 4.0.10-gamma. I successfully
"/usr/local/sbin/ser_mysql.sh create"ed but on editing
/usr/local/etc/ser/ser.cfg to uncomment out mysql support statements, i
get 1 error when i try to "/usr/local/sbin/ser restart" And no error on
commenting out the mysql statements. Any ideas why that error is coming?
Note: I can add and remove users using serctl
Thank you i advance,
Regards,
Wilson

Hi,
I got a copy of SER from ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/ser/0.8.14/ and I installed SER in my linux server.
Now I have four new directory in /usr/local:etc,lib,sbin,share.I modified /usr/local/etc/ser/ser.cfg
and it can run well. But when I include the vm.so and restart SER it returns an error:
"ERROR: bad config file (1 errors)".The attachment is my ser.cfg. How can I test the voicemail?
I installed ser-web also. I placed phplib in /usr/local/apache,and placed serweb in /usr/local/htdocs(
I renamed the directory html by serweb).When I type http://172.16.195.242/serweb/user_interface/index.php
in my IE,it turns out a login page and I can not login.I created a user with serctl in advance.I
checked the index.php and found the variable okey_x was not defined.
Thanks
