Klaus,
Thank you for your help. I have got a working ser.cfg and the system
forwards the voicemail to the voicemail platform. I can also forward my
internal calls to my Asterisk box and all is well.
I seem to have problem with the nat_helper module.
I'm using the version that comes with 0.8.12 rpm;
I get the following in the debug;
0(9285) find_export: <nat_uac_test> not found
0(9285) find_export: <nat_uac_test> not found
0(9285) parse error (113,22-23): unknown command, missing loadmodule?
This is related to the following chunk of code;
#if (nat_uac_test("2")) {
# log(1, "src address different than via header->NAT
detected\n");
# log(1, "force_rport and fix_nated_contact and
setflag(5)\n");
# #try NAT traversal, works only if the client is symmetrical
# force_rport();
# fix_nated_contact();
# append_hf("P-hint: fixed NAT contact for request\r\n");
# # flag 5 indicates that incoming request is from NATed
client
# setflag(5);
#};
I comment this out and all seems to work. I'm very interested in using the
NAT helper module.
Warm Regards and Thanks
Shad

If you use TFTP provisioning:
# Enable_VAD (1-enabled, 0-disabled)
enable_vad: "0"

Also, does anyone know how to turn on/off VAD on a Cisco 7940?
thanks,

Does ser have to be configured in a special way to enable voice
activity detection? It seems like this would be done at the phone
level before packets are sent, but I just wanted to make sure.
Also, does anyone know how to turn on/off VAD on a Cisco 7940?

hello group,
I just started setting up Ser on a linux box (Debian). Please excuse me
if my questions have been asked many times before.
I have two questions here
1. when I compile from source, the mysql module is not compiled, I
cannot find mysql.so anywhere. I use the latest 0.8.12 release. The
daemon started okay without mysql modules.
2. after no luck with the source, I switched to Debian package. I see
mysql modules are properly installed. I installed the mysql client on my
Debian box, and the Mysql database on a external box, I created all
tables and users successfully and I can manually access the database
from command line. But when I start the Ser daemon, it would not start
and still trying to look the Mysql.sock on local machine. my questions
is where do you tell Ser daemon to use global my.cnf file for external
database?

Hi all,
i have noticed 2 problems using SERWEB:
- in the admin page when i check "server monitoring" all the values are "0"
and this is strange!
- in the admin page if i filter the list of users with "show on-line users
only" there are no users on-line even if it is not so!
thanks for your help!
please use the mailing list.

I had the same problem, it depends by enviroment variables
create a file and write this command:
#!/bin/sh
env PATH=$PATH:$(pwd) ./ser_mysql.sh $1
because the SER try to find the path in another part of memory.
i'm sorry for my english.
Bye.

Hi all,
I would like to get the attention of all the users and developers regarding
this issue. I dunno if this is an issue or it is normal.
I would like to ask if there's a solution for this issue?

Subject: [Serusers] Users get offline status when voicemail enable
Hi all,
I found out from querying users on serweb that when the 2 instances of ser
is running ser proxy and ser for voicemail, the users status is got offline.
but when I stop the second ser instance for voicemail, the users status is
online.
heres the result of serctl moni where i think this cause the status of the
online users got offline.
