Hi all,
i solved e problem with mysql privileges setup, and i've been runnig 2
istances of ser (cvs_stable) for voicemail, after these changes in my
configuration i'm having some problems:
- I can't start ser using "serctl start" but only using "ser start" or
"ser -f /.." for the second istance
- I can stop ser only by billing processes manually
- using "ksysguard" i can't see ser listening at TCP port 5060 or (5090 for
the second istance), but only at UDP port
- file "/var/run/ser.pid" is not present even if ser works
Which can be the reasons for these problems?
thanks to all
Stefano
Hi all,
I am attempting to put together a system involving Ser, so that customers
can make VoIP calls, and depending on the destination, they get billed.
We would like to be able to cut people off if they run out of credit, so we
have decided to use b2bua.
>From what I've been reading about this (b2bua working with ser), it would
seem that it works.
However, I'm having a few problems, and was kinda hoping someone would be
good enough to spare some time to answer my questions.
Currently, what we have is this (in a nutshell):
Softphone <-----> Ser Server (+ developed Plugin) <-----> b2bua <--------->
SIP Gateway.
With the flow of call being as follows:
Softphone initiates the call, and passes an INVITE message to the Ser
The Ser does his biz on the message (the config file is available if
required), and once all goes well, forwards the message to the b2bua
b2bua does his biz again on the INVITE, and forwards the message to the Sip
Gateway.
Sip Gateway connects the call, and call proceeds until someone disconnects.
Call is billed, if it is a PSTN call.
All seems simple so far. However, my main problems are as follows:
1) Sometimes the messages (INVITE, ACK, BYE) seem to get caught in a vicious
loop, and won't break out of it, even though the max forward headers is set
to 10. I assume this is a bad config file error, and results in this loop.
However, I've changed the file so amny times at this point, I'm not exactly
sure where the loop is beginning.
2) Sometime when I make a call, the tmie it takes to connect results in the
call being disconnected before it connects (or just after). As a result, the
destination customer wouldn't humanly have enough time to get to the phone
and answer it (unless they had the phone surgically attached to them). I
feel that there is a bottleneck/delay somewhere (perhaps related to question
1), and as a result the time to connect is way too long.
Is it a case of I have too many components, and there is a delay, or
something similar.
These problems are bad enough when I'm performing single user testing, but
when we take on board 20/50/100/500 customers, it's going to become a rather
large head-ache :-)
Any help would be most appreciated.
Regards,
Derek
Hello everybody!
We just implemented a small tool which exports the MySQL-phonebooks
(stored for serweb) into two XML-Files for each user.
These XML-Files can be imported automatically by Cisco 79xx Series
IP-Phones and KPhone.
It has a couple of features to put additial Informations into the
Phonebook (as far as possible) and provides a number of features to
decrease the size of sip-uris - because the Cisco phones cannot handle
sip-uris longer than 32 Byte inside the external phonebook)
The download-link is:

Have a lot of fun!

Is there a trick to getting the NAT detection applet in sere to work ?
I have it querying a STUN server but the message "finding firewall or NAT,
please wait" just appears indefinitely.

Hi
I am using Multiple domain...I have enabled it in userloc module and
registrar module..it was already enabled in auth_db module...i am using
0.8.12....now i am using is_from_local() in ser.cfg...provided by domain
mudule....and i have added my domains there....this is fine...
When i make a call, only INVITE is stored in acc logs.. ACK never reaches
there because when ACK is received by SER, SER says that the callee party is
not available using usrloc module lookup function.
what could be the source of the porblem...as when i check the acc logs in
mysql...i am getting o_uri wrong...o_uri shud be uri@domain format but i am
getting it as usi@<ip address of the device> and when SER do lookup for
uri@<ip address of the phone device>...it will never find it in the
location......
any suggestion

Hi,
I'm trying to get the IP address from the sip_msg and to send it in the
Sip-Source-Ip-Address (using Radius) but I'm having troubles.
Can anyone tell me how to do that, because when I use
rc_avpair_add(&send, 108, (&_msg->rcv.src_ip.u.addr), 0) to send the attribute
and the address, I get the address with the format d.c.b.a instead of a.b.c.d
Please, help me
Laurent

Hello,
I am trying to do forking in my SER. Before I used lookup('aliases') and
if I have more then one alias SER correctly send calls to all of them.
But now i switch to exec_dset and it stop working, SER still get two
addresses to send the call, for example:
test@ser, exec_dset return two destinations:
10@ser and 20@ser
both - local online users.
after exec i am doing:
if (!lookup("location")) {
route(1);
break;
} else {
route(1);
break;
}
in route 1 i have only NAT stuff and t_relay
(without lookup it is not sending calls at all)
ser first seding first call to ser (itself) IP, and when it connect (ACK)
- it sends second call to ONLINE device... instead of sending both call
straight to devices at same time.
Please advise
Hello
I have found a problem when compiling pa module and I can't get help
from archives.
I have downloaded all CVS sources to my directory. I have run 'make;
make install'
This is the error that SER shows:
pidf.c:32: libxml/parser.h: No such file or directory
pidf.c:33: libxml/xpath.h: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [pidf.o] Error 1
I don't find these files in CVS.
Do you know where can I download these files?
Thank you very much.
