This is the title: Inbound calls - Applying typeplan for sw-type
I've got a problem which should be very similar to the one you had and I
don't know how to solve it!
Thank'you!

Hi, All,
Please verify whether this is a bug in SER: I used Windows messenger (WM)
to test SER PA module and here is a sure way to crash SER:
1. start WM on machine 1 registering as user A (assuming user B is in
contact list).
2. start WM on machine 2 registering as user B (assuming user A is in
contact list).
3. Log out user A on machine 1.
4. Log out user B on machine 2.
5. Go to step 1.
You don't need to repeat this process many times (usually single digits of
rounds) to crash SER. There are several message types involved in this
process: SUBSCRIBE, REGISTER, NOTIFY and responses to these messages. The
SER usually crashes on REGISTER message during step 3 or 4. It seems that
there is some erroneous memory referencing during in handling the
presence/subscription.
Please check the following link to see my ser.cfg and also why I can not
get DEBUG info even though I have set debug to 9.
http://lists.iptel.org/pipermail/serusers/2004-December/013811.html
Originally, I thought this problem only happens to WM because it is not
standard conformant as mentioned by Jiri in some of the previous messages.
However, I tried the same thing use Kphone and SER still crashes. The only
difference is that it take many cycles of 1~4 to crash SER since it is not
sending so many REGISTER/SUB as WM does.
I am using ser-0.8.14 on Redhat Linux Enterprise 3.
Any info with regard to this problem would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Haipeng
SER is sending a duplicate INVITE after receiving a 403 response from the gateway. I was wondering if anybody can suggest why this would be happening. According to RFC 3261,
21.4.4 403 Forbidden
The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it.
Authorization will not help, and the request SHOULD NOT be repeated.
thanks.

Hi,
When I use a gateway to register with ser-0.8.14, I can see only 401 and 404 messages using "serctl moni". I have entered the username and password correctly in gateway correctly. I know that 401 and 404 mean unauthorization and Not found respectively.
My gateway is workly properly because it can successfully register with other SIP proxy server.
I use the default ser.cfg and changed the domain name only. I have also enabled mysql.
Hope someone can help me. Thank you.

Hi,
I am using ser-0.8.14. After I have login the serweb admin page, when I view the monitoring page, all the toolbars are empty (i.e. 1xx 2xx 3xx etc response message toolbars). However, ser is started already. When I use "serctl moni", I can see the number of 4xx response message starts increasing, but I see nothing changed in serweb.
It seems that serweb and ser are not connected properly. I have no idea to know whether my reason is correct or not. Anyone can help me pls.
Thank you.

Hi,
When I view the http log for serweb directory, I find that there is any
error (not PHP notice):
[error] [client 218.189.163.22] File does not exist:
/home/officehk123.vttsys.com/html/favicon.ico
it seems that favicon.ico is necessary. But there is no such file. I
create one for myself. I know that it is an image. The error message
disappears afterwards.
Have any of you encountered this error before? Why is favico.ico needed?

Hi,
I observed a SIP call termination problem with IPTEL proxy server. I am
using the following network setup.
HOST1---FW/NAT---INTERNET---HOST2
In this setup, SJPhone is used as UA on both HOST1 and HOST2. Now I
establish a SIP call from HOST1 to HOST2. The SIP call was established
successfully. The call was open for a long time and when i terminate the
call on HOST2, i observed that the BYE packet from HOST2 is sent to the
proxy server, but the proxy is not forwarding the BYE to HOST1. This
behaviour is observed frequently but not always.
Does anyone know why the proxy server behaves this way?? Is there any
timer maintained by the proxy for the registered UAs if it is behind a
FW/NAT device.
Regards
Mahesh

I'm currently on 0.8.14 but I hear great things about -dev17.
My question is how do I get the source to -dev17. I've looked at the
berlios.de site and I can see the individual files, but how do I go
about downloading the entire tree so that I can compile the complete
product ?
Thanks
Simon
