Tjapko ,
There is no syntax change for ser.cfg in the latest version of MediaProxy.

---- Hello ,
Can someone provide me full working ser.cfg example for latest version of Mediaproxy (example distributed with new mediaproxy does not seem to work properly). Herunder you will find the test.cfg that we use.
Regards, Tjapko.
Hi,
Thanks for answering. We use the mediaproxy module from unstable version from last cvs and use SER version 0.8.12 from cvs on freeBSD 5.1.
We did exactly like the readme for the new mediaproxy says to install the last version correctly. It is working fine but we have 2 problems:
1. When using the mediaproxy ser.cfg example file it will start ok but right after call setup the ser will go into an indefinite loop.
2. When using a somewhat more developed ser.cfg we have some problems: ser receive ACK from calling endpoint but it will not forward it to called endpoint, so called endpoint will not open RTCP streams for audio. It looks like ACK is losts somewhere on ser. This happens not always but under certain conditions.
Both might be errors in our ser.cfg but we seem to overlook it. We spent 2 weeks into this problem now and appreciate any further comments that can lead to a solution. Any working example for ser with mediaproxy will do.
We can sent you the other ser.cfg, dumps whatever if you like to take a look at it.
Kindest regards, Tjapko.

From what you describe there is little or no problems related to NAT transversal but rather with the basic SER signaling setup. I would suggest if I may to try spending more time and get experienced with how SER works or get some consultant on board.

Hi Adrian,
Yeah we solved it. There was no need for a consultant. Just 2 days without sleep and some traces. Only 1 small change did it.

Hi all.
I'm new to this list and I have several doubts about how SER works. I have been working with H323 til last week ( installing and configuring a GNUGK ) in my work and now I have to face SIP.
It would be perfect if someone could help me just answering these questions:
1.- Once SER is installed with a public IP of my network, can I enforce all clients inside ( with private IP ) to go through the SER server always ? I mean, calls generated inside my network to outside and the calls generated from outside clients ( who are not registered to my SER server ) to inside clients. I don't want anyone from inside to establish a call without using the SER server and viceversa.
2.- An outside client who is only registered with Microsoft Registar ( .NET account I think ), could be reached from a client who is only register with "my" SER server ? And what about the other way round ?
3.- Does anyone know any free SIP client with videoconference support for Linux / Windows ? ( Not only VoIP, audio + video ).
I have been using the free account that IPTEL provides and I liked it very much. I had no problem with nat ( if both parts are registered in the IPTEL server ) and it seems solve a lot of problems I had with H.323.
Thank you very much in advanced:
Kiko

You would have to block all the traffic that is not targeted to your server, that is hardly possible, I could always use a different port/IP if I would like to bypass your SER.

I am not sure I understand, outside clients can reach your subscribers by calling sip:username@your_server
3.- Does anyone know any free SIP client with videoconference support for Linux / Windows ? ( Not only VoIP, audio + video ).
