Hi List,
Thanks for response for my previous mail.
I am unable to establish voice connection between two user agents
which are located one in public network and other is in provite
network. I am using SER+NAT+rtpproxy as proxy servers. I have serched
seruser mailing list for solution and I didn't find any. Please help
me in below senerio.
Elements
-----------------
1) UA 'X' ( in public internet with IP 209.233.XXX.XXX)
2) SIP SER with NAT helper(CVS version) + rtp proxy on same
machine(http://www.portaone.com/~sobomax/rtpproxy.tar ) with one
external public IP and internal privite IP)
3) UA 'Y' - in side private domain with 172.16.12.XXX) ip address.

I am trying to accomplish to make call from UA 'X' to UA 'Y'. i'e
calls from public IP to private IP using SER as my signalling proxy
and rtpproxy as proxy for RTP.
FYI - I am using estara softphone as X and Pintel Softphone as Y.
SER is succussfully etablishing connection between two use agents and
but it is failed to forward rtp between two UAs. No voice.
Please find attached ser.cfg file.
I assume, may be because of below errors.

New subject: [Serusers] SER+NAT+RTP PROXY
Hi all.
I'm a bit confused. Are there then, two media proxys ? "Mediaproxy" and
"rtpproxy", am I right ? In that case, which is a better solution ?
I have been trying SER 0.8.12 nathelper but if fails with "ping_nated_only"
parameter. I guess a I have to use CVS one instead of 0.8.12. Is that right
?

Each has features the other doesn't have (search the archives for more
info).
Saying one or another is better would start a huge flamewar :-)

rel_0_8_12 stable branch. Then get nathelper from unstable, copy it in
stable (0.8.12) and recompile.
You could also wait for a week and then get the 0.8.14 release
candidate, which will have the latest nathelper in it
(or wait for more and get directly 0.8.14).

compiled right but when some endpoint try to register, SER crashes with
"BUG: tcp_main_lop: dead child".
I am using the ser.cfg from

Does anyone know why this could be happenning ?

Does anyone know why this could be happenning ?
If you are using the latest ser 0.8.12 (which is ser 0.8.12-1rc4),
enable core dumping (run ulimit -c unlimited before starting ser) and
send us on serteam(a)iptel.org the whole log (the log message you copied
above means only that some ser process died) and a backtrace (or a
tar.gz with the coredump, the compiled binaries and the sources).
