did not found anything. It seems that no one ever tried to terminate from SER to Asterisk with authentication. Any other idea? Thanks! CFM

SER can't natively authenticate with anything else. However, you can use sipsak to "pretend"-register SER with another device (Eg: Asterisk). Or, you can use OSP (open settelment protocol) between SER and Asterisk. -- Nick e: nick.hoffman@altcall.com p: +61 7 5591 3588 f: +61 7 5591 6588

Maybe You could take a look on the UAC module on OpenSER. It could help...

The OpenSER UAC module cannot authenticate against Asterisk as it is not RFC compliant (doesnt increase Cseq numbers).
SER cannot authenticate against Asterisk.

We have customers using OSP to manage VoIP peering between SER and Asterisk and other VoIP devices. You can download a free OSP server from http://www.transnexus.com/OSP%20Toolkit/Peering_Server/VoIP_Peering_Server.h tm. There are also two open source OSP server projects at www.sipfoundry.org/OSP.
