Take a look at sems.conf: # optional parameter: smtp_server=<hostname> # # - sets address of smtp server smtp_server=localhost
# optional parameter: smtp_port=<port> # # - sets port of smtp server smtp_port=25
So, here you can configure any SMTP server, e.g. the SMTP server of your Internet service provider or your own one.

have you previously started myslq daemon? bogdan
Yes the mysql deamon starts at boot time.... However the SER dont, and is started manually by /usr/local/sbin/ser start.
When the SER is reinstalled it workes fine but at reboot it lockes up the same way again.
Im running SER 0.8.12 on a Slackware 9,1 system with mysql 4.0.18.
