Hi, I want to setup two openser in a HA enviroment; So, correct me if I'm wrong, I need three IP addresses, one for each box and a shared one, My question is, I have to set the
advertised_address= <shared-IP>
in both openser servers?
Thanks in advance,
Cosimo Fadda

I don't think so since you will specifi the "listen" interfaces and addresses with parameters:
listen=udp:VIRTUAL_IP:5060 listen=tcp:VIRTUAL_IP:5060
Thank you for the answer, I' ve to make some tests, then I' ll giv e you the results,

I did it the following way:
listen=<shared-IP> alias=<FQDN of shared-IP> alias=<local-IP>

You don't need it in a HearBeat enviroment since the service (OpenSer) should just be running in the active node and be swtiched off in the inactive node.
When HeartBeat activates a nodo it firsts enables the virutal/shared IP on it, and later runs the services. So OpenSer just needs to know the virtual/shared IP and not the "real" IP of each node.
Regards.
Thank you, I'll try it.
Best regards,
Cosimo
