here's a microsoft article that speaks of a scenario where something causes the sip accounts option to disappear and how to fix it

I am not using MSN messenger. I am trying with the same version as Samuel. But on my PC "sip accounts" option does not show up. Anyway, I think it doesn't support authorization, does it ?

Sometimes micro$oft messenger does not uninstal as expected...did you completely remove all previous micro$ messenger staff before installing 5.1 version???

- You should see mid-way down the check box for SIP Communications
Service Account. Check that. and type in the sip (aor) name that you want to register into the ser (sip registrar) with. i didn't preceed it with sip: i only typed xyz@domain.com
- then i clicked "advanced" and checked "configure settings" and put
in my hostname of the ser box.....ser.domain.com.......and then checked "udp"

did you do what samuel asked. uninstall. uninstall any instance of msn messenger or windows messenger all versions. reboot. reinstall wm 5.1
