Rather than *break* the proxy try look at fixing the bad client (if of course it is open source) - if not contact the vendor

Sometimes you have an unresponsive vendor.... sometimes the economics aren't right in fixing the client... Jasomi and others have protocol fixup solutions. If there was an easy way to drop a packet with ser, I could fix a problem I have in my DS3 gateways with an unsupported SIP implementation. Jamie Yukes
