I m using cent-os 6.2, kamailio-5.1.2 and openims-hss. I am using rtpengine to relay voice, but I am unable to send files or chat messages using it. I looked at rtpengine logs, it was saying unknown codec for chat and file-transfer requests. Then, I thought of using Kamailio msrp , tried but no success. Does current Kamailio IMS support file transfer? If so, please give me suggestions on doing it.

you can send any kind of data stream over msrp, but it is a matter of the end devices to support and encode/decode the transmitted data as needed.
