Hi I've gotten this error from the latest version from CVS. Can someone explain what this is, and give an example on how it can be used?

I should probably check the DOC directory first before posting :) That said, how stable is this code? Is it possible to have multiple SER using the same fifo_db_url ?

No, they must use different fifo.

Of course not, it is a development branch which means that it should compile when it is in the CVS, but that's it, nobody guarantees that it also works as expected.
If you need a working version that is being used in production then check out the code with -r rel_0_8_12 parameter: cvs co -r rel_0_8_12 sip_router.
