Hello Jan, For this scenario: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ pingtel sip phone-1---------------------------SER-sip express router----------------------------pingtel sip phone-2 sip:4444@140.192.37.4 ser:140.192.37.59 sip:einstein@140.192.37.16 Using DHCP Using static IP Using DHCP
Q.1.Should i configure the sip phone-1's host id to 140.192.37.59? Q.2.If i do so the SER-sip express router gives a warning that 1 Register pending or simply doesn't register. Q.3.Moreover i wish to see the sip traces using SIP Scenario Generator or Ethereal which i currently don't see yet? Any suggestions.

Hard to say, maybe you:
-- listen on a different interface -- listen on a different host -- filter out port 5060 so SIP messages do not appear in your dumps -- phones do not send any SIP messages -- phones send SIP messages to a different host
etc...
