is there anyway to set temp variables in ser.cfg? if so, how to set/access?

Use AVP's, the avpops module is wonderful for this purpose.

You need the 0.9.X version of SER to get the avpops module.

Can you use this also if you wanted to assigne a value from a exec_ call to SQL or something.
eg I want to select a certain value from db, and assign it to $value, avpops seems to pull info using standard queries , does it not, or if something matches.
