Hi,
I tried to use MSN Messenger 6.0 on windows 2000 with ser. I went through http://www.iptel.org/ser/doc/jabgw/use_msn.html , but at step C my messenger only .NET passport, it doesn't have Communications Service option? Is this "Communications Service" option only available on XP?
Thanks!
Dong

AFAIK 'MSN Messenger' != 'Windows Messenger' MSN Messenger never supported SIP, only the Windows Messenger does.

But in the how to page I refered to (http://www.iptel.org/ser/doc/jabgw/use_msn.html), "MSN Messenger" is clearly shown

Yes, you are right, it is MSN Messenger, but only the versions 5.5 to 4.7 supported SIP (via Communication Service). Starting with version 5.0 M$ stopped supporting SIP in MSN Messenger and they shift this to Windows Messenger, but I never played with this one and I cannot provide information about how to configure and use it.Maybe someone else on this list.
Best regards, Daniel

There is a new version of WINDOWS Messenger now. 5.0 work for windows2000 and XP. I have tested "Windows Messenger 5.0" on a windows 2000, and it work fine with SER.
