Hello list!
I observed, on an openser-1.1.0, that stateful relayings of BYE requests absorb retransmissions from the sender but do not retransmit it to the next hop in the Route header.
Please, is it normal or is ti a misconfiguration from myself ?
Thanks a lot!
JF Smigielski.

it is normal to have the retransmissions from sender absorbed. If there is no reply from destination, openser should attempt to retransmit the BYE by itself, even if sender does not retransmit.

If openser sends out retransmissions (which it not does according to Jean's email) shouldn't it send back a 100 trying to the UAC to stop the UAC from sending retransmissions?
