configurations be found for a newbie like me?

I remember also that that link helped me in the beginning:

If you want a step by step configuration example, there is a handbook
for SER here http://www.iptel.org/ser/doc/gettingstarted
The syntax is not exactly the same as the one for OpenSER but it's not
too difficult to adapt.
