Hi,
Has anyone tried connecting the 'Cisco Unified Border Element' to OpenSER as a H.323 /SIP signalling gateway to allow H.323 video calls to be placed over OpenSER?
Can you see any problems trying to connect these two systems together?
Thanks

haven't used this particular scenario, but if the box speaks good sip (rfc3261), then there is no problem. However, from past experiences with gateways, even from same vendor, you should expect the unexpected :-) -- give it a try and if you get something not working, post questions here, there might be people able to help.
Cheers, Daniel
Hi,
Just trying to help, an year ago or so, I had experience with such interconnection (SIP->CCM) and what desired me special attention was that it was only able to handle IPs as domain (no names). But that could be an specific IOS issue... don't know.

good to know. It could be a PITA though for outgoing calls, as people prefer domain names, but maybe it looks at r-uri that can be changed ins tead of To uri as many gw still do.
