When you set up a trusted IP in SER, does it use the source IP address of the INVITE UDP packet itself, or does it use the IP address contained in the FROM: field within the SIP INVITE message?
Does anyone know how Cisco and other devices do it as well?
Thanks!
Tom
Hi Tom,
The source IP should be consider the IP address from where you received the message. The FROM address gives you information about who originated the messages, which can be several hops upstream.
Best regards, Marian
