Hi, When executing ser-mysql.sh under the directory its located, in this case /usr/local/sbin, try executing it as ./ser-msyql.sh since ./ might not be set in your path. Then make sure mysql server is started, you can usually check this by executing ps ax | grep mysql. Or simply starting the service up by typing service mysql start.
