I have set the debug=9 in ser.cfg and build with mode=debug, but i still can not get much info from /var/log/messages.
Can anybody give a hint ?
Many thanks, hong

Hello, only the errors are reported to syslog -- what could be the reason to report more. If you want to see the debug messages, you can run ser with log_stderror=yes from a terminal and you will see a lot of messages there.

In which log file the messages can be found depends a lot on the configuration of your syslog daemon. On debian for example you will see them at /var/log/ daemon.log. syslog may be another candidate for searching.
