Hi everyone!
Im really getting confused about using ser+asterisk as pstn gw. Is it SER that registers to Asterisk or is it Asterisk that registers with SER? Or nobody needs to register with anyone at all? If thats the case, how does SER and Asterisk know about each other? Kindly point me to the right direction pls.
Thanks!
ser registers with asterisk, and ser allows asterisk to pass traffic to it. Calls will go from ser to asterisk, they will hit the sip channel, and then find a context in sip.conf, from here they pass to extensions.conf, in extensions you also have contexts, sip.conf tell which context in extensions to goto.
