I am sorry, too. I am not a MySQL expert. I would try to add another row with IP address (I guess 192.168.10.121) instead of 'sip.sm6tpn.mine.nu'. If doesn't work, post the question on the mysql mailing lists.

Hello,
even if localhost and sip.sm6tpn.mine.nu is the same computer, it does matter if you specify -h localhost or -h sip.sm6tpn.mine.nu. You can have a different username and password for each hostname. MySQL simply takes it as a string, i.e. root@localhost can have different password than root@sip.sm6tpn.mine.nu.
See mysql manual at http://www.mysql.com There is a detailed description of mysql authentication system and it also describes how to create/delete users and set their passwords.
