Only SIP messages. Signalling and RTP have completely independent paths.

Hi all,
I have a question on record routing. Once record routing is done, will the whole traffic (including rtp) will be routed through SER or only all the SIP messages will be passed through SER?
From what I understand, rtp never goes through SER, except when using an
rtp proxy, sems or something alike..

Leon
