Hi!
I just compiled a fresh openser-1.2 (no installation - only "make all" and running it as non-privileged user from the source directory).
Everything works fine except that I can not see L_DEBUG messages in syslog (debug=3 causes the same output in syslog as debug=4) and I'm stuck in finding the problem. When starting openser with -D -E -dd I see DEBUG messages too.
thanks Klaus
Hi Klaus,
have you checked your syslog cfg? maybe the debug level is diverted to a different file?!

Well...in this case I have no idea :(....my personal opinion is that there is something related to syslog daemon configuration.

Thanks for the tip - there was no directive for logging debug level at all. (Redhat Server 4)
thanks klaus

Hi Bogdan!
You have misunderstand my answer - or my answer was unclear. You were right. syslog was configured to not log *.debug.
regards klaus
