I downlaoded the source of 3.0.1 and untar'ed.
Then executed as per docs (INSTALL file):
make prefix=/
make prefix=/ install
Yet, when I start kamailio from /sbin/kamailio, I get this:
root@qa-qsuitePBX-01:/usr/src# kamailio
loading modules under //lib/kamailio/modules_k/://lib/kamailio/modules/
Listening on
udp: 10.98.6.6 [10.98.6.6]:5060
udp: 10.98.6.6 [10.98.6.6]:5065
udp: 10.98.6.6 [10.98.6.6]:5066
udp: 10.98.6.6 [10.98.6.6]:5067
Aliases:
It's loading modules from //lib....?
What is this? And is kamailio installed correctly?

I guess you are overwriting the default prefix (/usr/local/) with /.

PS: If you are using a Debian based system I recommend "make deb".

Just run the command "make deb"?
And not run make prefix ?
