And that's the one that got the task to select a restaurant - I would prefer in the neighbourhood of grand place since I live around there, but that's my personal opinion...
Congratulations to the appointment :-)

How about we do something crazy, and go out in Bruges, I can easily fit 4 people in my car :D

Please don't! We don't want people to get bogged down in the chocolate and fail to return for the talk on Sunday:

There is a good Italian restaurant rue de Flandres, I can ask if we can have the first floor.

Is there a hotel suggestion for the VoIP guys?
regards Klaus
All the guys from Crocodile will be at the Hotel du Congres. Stayed there last year, it was basic but clean and central.
We will be arriving Saturday afternoon.

I'm staying with Erik at hotel Ibis Grand Place, which is one of the Fosdem hotels. The hotel weekend price on the web was lower than the Fosdem price funny enough.

Hi,
count me in as well (and my wife, too; even though she mostly does non-VoIP-Java stuff, except from our Java-HSS).
Kind regards, Carsten
P.S.: We stay at the Max Hotel, too, looks nice.

Just wondering if a Saturday night telephony dinner has been confirmed by sr-dev, or if anybody is aware of similar group dinners on that night?

I booked a restaurant not far from the Grand-Place:
http://www.zoobab.com/voip-diner-fosdem
Please fill in your seat, there are only 18 of them!

Instead of explicitly seeking to sanction the patentability of software, they are now seeking to create a central European patent court, which would establish and enforce patentability rules in their favor, without any possibility of correction by competing courts or democratically elected legislators."
Hello,
I will probably be able to join, so I added myself on the list for the moment. But it looks like 18 seats is not gonna be enough...
Cheers, Daniel

I can rebook another restaurant in the same street, I just have to have an idea on how many people will show up.

Last year it looked like 35 people attended
This year there is a main track talk https://fosdem.org/2013/schedule/event/free_open_secure_communications/ which will raise the profile of telephony.
In the email I sent to the Lumicall users, I included a link to this telephony thread about a dinner too...
Do you know any venue that might be a little bit flexible to accept latecomers or people who only make up their mind 2 days before FOSDEM?
Does anybody object to having a venue less conveniently located if it means greater attendance and/or flexibility?

I am going in an hour at the Spare Ribs (a volonte, until you are full) restaurant here:
http://www.amadeo-brussels.com/eng/kaart.htm
I will see how many people maximum they can host on one/two big tables.

They have a room with 3x 26 seats, where 26 people can seat on one long table.
I booked a long table for 26 people.
If we are more then 26, we will have to book some more tables next to it.
I will inform them the day before and the same day on how many people registered.
If you are veggie or want to eat something else then Spare Ribs, please warn in advance.
Best,
