check your Makefile and look for exclude_modules, you will get a clue.

Yes and No. AFAIK, things like database authentication should work, but call records will not be stored in MySQL unless you enable MySQL accounting support.
To enable MySQL accounting still have to edit <ser-src>/modules/acc/Makefile.
