Hi,
The subject script changes the root password of MySQL since
$USERNAME variable is available in the env, is that intentionally or a bug ?

Hi Taymour,
the variable was changed to "DBRWUSER" for some time due the problem you
mentioned. Please use the CVS versions.

Unfortunately the binaries were generated before the fixup; so, either
change by yourself the "USERNAME" to "
"DBRWUSER", either use the CVS version.

if it easier, you can take the latest cvs snapshot for branch 0.9.x from:
http://www.openser.org/downloads/snapshots/openser-0.9.0/
