Hi Everyone,
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to implement distinctive ringing using SER?!
Has anyone attempted it at all?!
I would very much appreciate your help

SER just handles signaling. You can have a B2Bua to do that.

Actually, Many phones allow you to change the ring type by inserting headers.. I think SER can handle this, but you'll need to check you phone's manual. -Brett On Sat, April 1, 2006 2:37 pm, Voipers Portugal wrote:

What kind of phones will you be using, SIP phones? We have done it by writing headers, if you aren't using sip phones you will have to use something like Asterisk, it will be alot easier than implementing it in one of your switches. If you need help with setting up ser with * contact me off list or just ask nahid for my number ;)
