Hi,
I have Kamailio running on a 32-bit Linux server with 4 GB of memory.
Is there any performance impact on Kamailio when increasing shared memory size? Or is the only concern that other processes have sufficient memory left over?
The highest recommendation I have found on the mailing list was 1 GB [1], and one user reports using 2 GB [2].
Thanks!

Per my understanding, it all depends of all other services running on your machine. If you have dedicated kamailio server running nothing but kamailio then you can set as much RAM you want. However make sure to keep base minimum RAM for operating system, e.g. 512 MB (or even less if you are running bare-bone OS).
Thank you.
