I want to know if it is possible to checks only the username of a from
header with an avp value
avp_check("$uncond_forwarding_dest","eq/$from/username/g") )

You need to use two avps:
avp_write("$from/username","user_from");
avp_check("$uncond_forwarding_dest","eq/$user_from/g")
