dear all,
i have problem using alias. i try to add alias and it is OK to add. [root@gateway root]# serctl alias add 62761102 sip:cisco@sip.pcr.ac.id sip:cisco@sip.pcr.ac.id 200 Added to table ('62761102','sip:cisco@sip.pcr.ac.id') to 'aliases' [root@gateway root]# serctl alias add 62761101 sip:klien1@sip.pcr.ac.id sip:klien1@sip.pcr.ac.id 200 Added to table ('62761101','sip:klien1@sip.pcr.ac.id') to 'aliases'
and in the table is shown like this: username | domain | contact | expires | q | callid | cseq | last_modified | replicate | state | flags | +----------+--------+--------------------------+---------------------+------+---------------------------------------------------------------------+------+----------------+-----------+-------+-------+ | 62761102 | | sip:cisco@sip.pcr.ac.id | 2036-09-26 20:04:56 | 1.00 | The-Answer-To-The-Ultimate-Question-Of-Life-Universe-And-Everything | 42 | 20041206105436 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | 62761101 | | sip:klien1@sip.pcr.ac.id | 2036-09-26 20:00:24 | 1.00 | The-Answer-To-The-Ultimate-Question-Of-Life-Universe-And-Everything | 42 | 20041206105003 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
when i try to call by using alias, the aliases not working and can't work. but when i try to call by username, it can do communication between cisco and klien1. i'm missing something??????

I believe I ran into a problem like this some time ago with version 0.8.12 running on RedHat Linux 9. I was able to resolve this issue by reducing the FOREVER_REL value in serctl. 31536000
My old system is set to FOREVER_REL=31536000 which resolved the alias issue.
Hope this helps. Also, if you search the mailing list you can find the answer and the explanation of the problem.
