Hi,
is there a howto out there how to use OpenSer as a Loadbalancer for Asterisk.
It's part of an exercise of an university course. It should be a LAN SIP envirenment only. 1 Asterisk got a fictitious CPU load of 75% by SIP calls and it should be balanced on 2. How does it work? I think the SIP clients has to register at the openSER. Am i right?
What i've found is http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Realtime+Integration+Of+Asterisk+With+Ope... http://www.openser.org/dokuwiki/doku.php/asterisk:load-balancing-and-ha But which one did i need and what else do i have to do?
Thanks

there is no other such howto I am aware of, you should look at dispatcher module as a starting point, it is the module in openser used to do load balancing (being used by asterisk:load-balancing-and-ha as well).

Hi,
i`ve made a picture, maybe it explain my request better.

Thats what i plan to do. My Problem is that i don't understand how openSER will work with Asterisk. If the phones register on Asterisk, how does Asterisk know which client is connected to the other node?
