I run ser-0.8.14 in linux (debian) with kernel 2.4.xx in

1) is important you cross compile flex and bison for your architecture
2) you must use dbtext module instead of mysql module.

Is there any reason that one can't use mysql module? I thought that you only
need mysql client and then can have ser access a remote mysql server.
