It depends on what your useragent is capable to receive. usually the SIP URI in the Contact includes a transport=... parameter. I no transport is given, UDP should be tried first (RFC 3263). I guess this transport will be used by ser.

I'm using ser-0.9.1 and wondering if there is some sort of t_relay_tcp() function. Our Cisco AS5300 PSTN GW sends SIP messages to SER using TCP, but when ser proxies the message to a SIP UA it is UDP.
I don't think I can just replace t_relay() with forward_tcp() ... right?
