It's not necessarily easy, since SIP proxies do not, by their very
nature, lend themselves to this sort of thing, but rtpproxy does have a
timeout signaling socket:

But honestly, you'd be better off with a purely SIP-based method of dead
peer detection, be it making the endpoints use SIP Session Timers, or
using the Kamailio dialog module's OPTIONS-pinging method:
