I have the header files (as stated), that's not the issue. The issue
is path resolution. The compiler cannot find them and I need to
configure it so that it can and I am not sure where to do that.

I have mysql installed and know that kamailio is having trouble finding
mysql header files. Is there a configuration I can set up to help kamailio
find it? Is there a resource I can be directed to find the info?
if you are running debian, you need to install
also libmysqlclient-dev package, that includes the header files.
