Jiri,
Jan sent me the latest serweb from CVS yesterday and some additions to httpd.conf. These changes definitely minimized the errors I've been seeing with serweb. Though it looks like there's still some inconsistencies with user/user_id/username btwn the DB tables and php scripts. I'll reinstall serweb today (or whenver the word is given).
Thanks again, Patti
Patti,
I think we should change our strategy and move to the new version -- it includes new features, should be stable by today and we will be glad to help out through serhelp to get it rolling for you. It will help us to eliminate versioning dependencies ser/serweb.

Patti,
yes, there were some changes in the database. There are no binary packages for the new version because we haven't released it yet.
Script ser_mysql.sh contains new command 'reinstall' which will convert the old database to the new one.
You can find the script in sip_router/scripts directory of a CVS snapshot.

Jan,
I updated my version of serweb but it looks like some of the column names were changed in the mySQL ser DB (ie USER_ID to USERNAME). Is there an updated version of the ser-mysql package?

Hello,
I am trying to use SER in a test environment (we are getting ready to test a VoIP product that we are building). I have ser running and can register with authentication on the server. I have also installed serweb, and it looks fine until I try to log in. I put in the user name and password that I have added as admin, and the screen just clears the username and password fields and sits there. I have tried looking through the PHP code to understand how it does authentication, but I don't know PHP well enough to understand what it is authenticating against. I suspect a problem with my domain setup, because since it is a test environment, I did not use our actual domain name, I just used localhost as the domain.
Am I on the right track, and if so, where do I need to look to make sure I have everything configured right?
Please update serweb from the CVS and try again, serweb author did some changes yesterday. Also note that if you don't use domain iptel.org then you will have to re-calculate HA1 strings in the database, because they were calculated with iptel.org as the domain. Let me know if the problem persist.
