what is the problem? Did you get or not any communication between sip and xmpp? Have you tried with xmpp or purple modules?
He wants (inspecting all him repeated mails to various maillists) to use purple module not just for sending IM but also receiving.
AFAIK this is not possible.
I thought it is possible. Never tried, but I haven't seen anything in the docs about it. In the code I see that the module binds to tm and sends requests to sip side.
Maybe Eric can clarify it.
