Maybe we can build some ground rules to access support, like a checklist to submit a case, but that will make us "harder to get".

This scenario of "playing" the two projects' user communities off each other - together with the presumption that they are intrinsically motivated to "compete" for the fastest and most complete response to open-ended and/or lazy newbie questions - is getting more and more common.
