oh, yes, I remember I had some problems with make runkit too. But I do not remember the solution. Try google - it helped me... Or get the latest version of runkit from their cvs, I think there is the error fixed.

PHP 5 users have to install Runkit or Classkitextension from PECL repository. See http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.classkit.php or http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.runkit.php for installation instructions.
Unfortunately both classkit and runkit extensions are in beta state and it seems there is no heavy development effort on them. Useing classkit is safe with PHP 5.0 but cause core dump in PHP >= 5.1.
