I've found out what was the problem, SER must be run
as root, I was trying as su, but it doesn't work, you
have to log in as root.

tanks for your attention, I've read the SIP
introduction and it was very useful.
But I have two problems:
I've installed SER from the sources available in
OnSIP
to follow the getting started document, but I
keep
receiving error messages wen I try to run:
[root@parati sbin]# ./ser
